Three-part answer to question 1:

No current Kindles have audio. Whether this is a one-way trend, i.e. whether no Kindle will ever have audio again, is anybody's guess.
If you want audio on a current Amazon device, you would have to go with a Fire tablet. A Fire tablet would also solve your light problem. But, there are many differences between a Fire tablets and Kindles. These differences are important to consider, but I won't get into them here.
If you are willing to let go of audio, a Paperwhite or a Voyage will solve your light problem, as well as provide you with higher resolution. Voyage has even higher resolution than Paperwhite, and its light has adaptive brightness via its ambient light sensor.

Answer to question 2: If you decide to stay with your Kindle Touch 3G, you can sort of simulate a built-in light by using one of the clip-on lights designed for Kindles. There are models by Belkin and Verso.
Non-Answer to question 3: Sorry I can't help with you question about how to make your Kindle pronounce a word through the dictionary.
